Gabriela Angleró-Corretjer, MD, FAAP
Dr. Gabriela Angleró-Corretjer was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She knew she wanted to become a doctor in high school when she realized her favorite subject was science and wanted to continue learning and exploring that field. She earned her bachelor's degree in general sciences at the University of Puerto Rico which led her to pursue the field of medicine.
Dr. Angleró-Corretjer chose pediatrics because she wanted to have the opportunity to see her patients grow and be successful while helping prevent and treat illnesses. She specializes in child development, kinder readiness, and safety prevention. She strives to be available and to advocate for her patients. She wants to support her patients and families to ensure that they are healthy, growing, and meeting their milestones and goals. She is able to treat and give recommendations and takes into consideration parents' opinions while including them in the decision-making process. She enjoys knowing that she makes a difference in her patients' lives while keeping them healthy and helping them thrive.
After practicing and living in the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Angleró-Corretjer and her husband decided to move to the East Coast to be closer to her family. She enjoys trying new restaurants with her husband, hiking, reading, walking their dog, Daisy, and traveling to visit her family in Puerto Rico when possible.
Fun Facts About Me
- I am scared of heights, but I pushed myself and did bungee jumping in Costa Rica. Next stop, skydiving!
- I have visited more than 20 countries and studied abroad in Spain during my college years.
- I did ballroom dancing when I was younger, and my favorite style is salsa.
