Stephen Silberman, MD, FAAP

Meet Dr. Stephen Silberman, a physician with Oberlin Pediatrics, Raleigh Pediatricians

Dr. Stephen Silberman was raised in the Boston area in Massachusetts. He came to North Carolina to become an undergraduate at Duke University. He then returned to New England for medical school at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA. After earning his MD, he completed residency in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina with Oberlin Pediatrics fellow physicians, Dr. Burleson, Dr. Wasserman and Dr. Bronold.

Dr. Silberman was drawn to pediatrics after considering ophthalmology. After spending time on rotations with children on the wards, pediatrics became an obvious perfect fit - combining science and warmth with a little silliness to make an impact on generations to come.

After 20 years of gaining experience in Southborough, MA and Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Silberman now returns to the Triangle area to reunite with old friends. He has been married since 2012 to his lovely wife, Kristin, who will be teaching at Joyner Elementary in Five Points. He has two boys, Wyatt and Cooper, and a crazy but lovable golden retriever named Millie. Dr. Silberman enjoys running, hiking with his family, cruising, and traveling when he gets the chance. He is excited to reunite with the local area and explore North Carolina from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Outer Banks! He also enjoys anything Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lego, and puzzles.
