Well Child Visits
Maintaining your child's wellness is essential for many reasons. At your child's "well visit", your pediatrician will
- perform a physican examination
- perform scheduled screenings - hearing, vision, etc.
- track growth and developmental milestones
- discuss concerns about your child's health
- administer scheduled vaccinations to prevent illnesses

You have gotten through the toddler shots, and immunizations are few and far between during these ages. Well child visits are still important, as we help monitor your child for healthy growth, chronic medical needs, and talk with you about any school or behavioral concerns.

Immunization Schedule
Immunizations have been one of the single greatest advances in preventative medicine and an essential part of well-childcare. The physicians at Oberlin Road Pediatrics strongly support the CDC-recommended vaccine schedule because vaccine science is extremely well researched.
Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.
We do require, as part our medical partnership with each family, that patients comply with North Carolina regulations for vaccination. If you have concerns about vaccination, we are happy to talk with you about the science.
